Red Meat study
The study looked at the eating habits and health of more than 100,000 adults over a twenty eight year span. The lead author on the study said
“Any red meat you eat contributes to the risk.” He also went on to say “Compared with other dietary components, such as fish, poultry, nuts, legumes, low-fat dairy products, and whole grains, were associated with lower risk.” It appears the iron in beef, pork, and lamb appear to be the main reasons why the risk is so high.
It is said if you do eat it, to stick with the unprocessed and under three serving per week.
