Ghana Session Continued: A Better America Project, Comic Book Characters Collide, Student Projects
In addition, to trying to solve the flood waters in Ghana, Mr. David Wronko’s students and the students from the Solid Rock Foundation School in Ghana continued the session with the A Better America Project.
This week the Asbury Park High School students presented reports on Don Shirley, Edward Kennedy “Duke” Ellington, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Martin Luther King Jr., John Lewis, and Barack Obama.
The students from Ghana asked numerous questions regarding the student presentations as well as had an in-depth discussion.
Comic Book characters
Once those presentations were completed, the session turned to the realm of science fiction in which Mr. Wronko shared with all students, comic book characters you thought would never meet.
He showed all students a fan-based creation of Darth Vader vs Batman and Superman vs the Hulk.
Furthermore, just recently, my students revisited a project I created during the pandemic year:
A Better America project sparked students to create their own football team for the NFL representing UNITY.
With this project students were to select players from all different backgrounds to be a part of their dream NFL team. The purpose of their team was to show that all races were united and a call to end racism and discrimination.
