LOS ANGELES — The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will conclude with its fourth season, Disney+ confirmed, with the final chapter set to premiere July 29 ahead of the franchise’s 25th anniversary.

The animated revival continues the story of Penny Proud, a Black teen navigating family, identity and adolescence. The original series aired from 2001 to 2005 before returning on Disney+ in 2022.

Disney+ Confirms Final Season and New Holiday Special

According to Deadline, Season 4 will serve as the show’s final installment. The streamer also announced a new stop‑motion holiday special, A Proud Family Wizmas, scheduled to debut later this year.

Deadline reports that the update follows creator Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar renewing their overall deal with Disney Television Animation under their BaR Productions banner. The agreement allows them to continue developing and producing animated projects across Disney Entertainment Television.

Season 4 Focuses on Major Turning Points for the Proud Family

The final season will place Penny Proud at a “life‑changing turning point,” with storylines involving unexpected adventures that test her courage and identity. Deadline notes that the season includes “action‑packed, mind‑bending and heartfelt twists,” with the family confronting new challenges together.

The returning cast includes Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker, JoMarie Payton, Cedric the Entertainer, Karen Malina White, Soleil Moon Frye, Alisa Reyes, Carlos Mencia, Alvaro Gutierrez, Raquel Lee Bolleau, Marcus T. Paulk and Melissa De Sousa. Guest stars include Mariah Carey, Romany Malco, Chloe Bailey, Lorraine Toussaint, Ali Wong, JB Smoove and Lashana Lynch.
