Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black renewed for Season 4

Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black will return for Season 4, reversing Netflix’s earlier plan to end the drama with its upcoming third season. Netflix confirmed the renewal on July 23, saying the Bellarie family’s story is “far from finished.”

The surprise decision comes months after Netflix announced Season 3 as the show’s final chapter in December 2025. That season does not yet have a release date.

Tyler Perry Says He Has More Story to Tell

Perry said he welcomed the chance to continue the series.

“There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story,” he said. He thanked viewers for supporting the show since its 2024 premiere.

Strong Viewership Helped Drive Beauty In Black Season 4

Netflix’s engagement data shows Beauty in Black has surpassed 1 billion viewing hours, reaching more than 104 million views across two seasons. Season 1 spent seven weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and reached No. 1 in 28 countries. Season 2 spent six weeks in the Global Top 10 and hit No. 1 in 17 countries.

Because of that performance, Netflix greenlit Season 4 even before Season 3 premieres.

Cast Returns as Season 3 Approaches

The returning includes Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Julian Horton, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, Terrell Carter, Bryan Tanaka, Charles Malik Whitfield and Debbi Morgan.

Season 3 follows Kimmie as she earns a seat at the Bellarie table. Yet the shift places her inside a dangerous feud that forces her into an uneasy alliance with Mallory. As buried secrets surface, the family’s empire faces new pressure and rising stakes.

Beauty in Black Season 4 Details Still Under Wraps

Netflix has not announced a release date for Season 4. However, the renewal ensures the Bellarie family saga will continue beyond Season 3.
