OWN is bringing back its annual “OWN for the Holidays” 2026 lineup with two new original films premiering Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, marking the event’s eighth year seasonal programming.

Two New Movies For OWN For The Holidays 2026

OWN will debut “The Christmas Showdown 2” on Nov. 28, followed by “Tapping Into Christmas” on Dec. 5. Both films air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on consecutive Saturdays.

Tina Perry, President of OWN, said the lineup reflects the network’s commitment to seasonal storytelling.

“OWN For the Holidays has become a beloved tradition for our viewers,” she said. “This year we’re thrilled to bring them stories that capture the joy, warmth and spirit of the season.”

‘The Christmas Showdown 2’ Brings Back Fan Favorites

OWN’s first holiday sequel reunites Amber Stevens West, Corbin Reid, Jenifer Lewis and Tommy Miles. The film follows Chastity and April as they run H‑Town Events and face pressure from a national production company hired to revive their struggling town. The story blends romance, rivalry and small‑town stakes — a formula that has performed well for OWN’s holiday audience.

‘Tapping Into Christmas’ Showcases Music, Dance and Memphis Culture

The second film stars Corinne Foxx, D Smoke, Debbie Allen and Obba Babatunde, with tap icons Chloé Arnold and Maud Arnold. The movie centers on Jeni Walker, who returns home to Memphis and works with her sisters to save a community theater through a holiday tap showcase. The film highlights Black artistry, local theater culture and the Syncopated Ladies’ internationally recognized choreography.

FOX Entertainment Studios Produces Both Films

Both movies are produced by FOX Entertainment Studios, which continues expanding its scripted and unscripted catalog across networks and streaming platforms. FOX Entertainment Global will distribute the films internationally.
