Even Russell Simmons came to support and talked about his involvement with the Peackeepers.
The Peace Keepers can serve as auxiliary police in neighborhoods where residents find themselves at odds with local law enforcement, founder Dennis Muhammad said.
“We’re coming from a community where violence is the theme of the day,” he said. “You attack violence with love. We’re coming with a message of love.”
Tragic incident
According to police, the horrible crime happened on March 28 at a vacant Rowan Towers apartment.
- Her 15‑year‑old stepsister forced the 7‑year‑old into sex work.

Authorities arrested:
- The 15-year-old stepsister
- Leary, 20
- Tiemare Lewis, 19, and his 17-year-old cousin
- Two boys ages 13 and 14.
