THE LOVE MACHINE PROJECT : A PERFECT MUSIC COLLABO

The Love Machine Project serves as the musical and magnetic force that allows Candice Anitra and Mustafa “Effortless” Shakir to encourage listeners to think beyond the “love machine” we all think of as sex.

About The Love Machine Project

When creating the perfect collaboration there are many factors to consider in order for perfection to be created. The two of utmost importance are: chemistry and individual talent.

For The Love Music Project, these factors are creatively and successfully met.  The talents of soul singer, Candice Anitra, who was raised in Philly and now resides in Brooklyn and Los Angeles-based, Uptown raised rapper/actor, Mustafa “Effortless” Shakir; melodically and seamlessly combine to give listeners music that is unmatched.

Candice Anitra has caught the ears of the staff at YAHOO! and renowned soul singer, Meshell Ndeogeocello.  Ndeogeocello has stated, “Candice Anitra has a pure and beautiful instrument. Producers aside, players aside, Candice’s voice wins everytime”.

For Mustafa “Effortless” Shakir his talent and work ethic has attracted the staff of Rolling Stone Magazine and they have said, “Mustafa Effortless is holistically sound Hip-Hop”.

Individually,  Candice and Mustafa master their talent to create projects that attract and maintain a steady fan base.  As a solo artist, Candice Anitra comprises her self of the soul singer infused philosopher and creates electro-rock/funk music.

In 2010, she released Bark Then Bite which was followed by Big Tree.  It was after these two projects that YAHOO! Music described Anitra’s sound as: “Funk-laden dance tracks that evokes more hope than despair”.

On the other hand, Mustafa Effortless (M*E) fuses conscious rap and street swagger.  His first full length album entitled, Holy War,  dropped in 2006.  In 2010, Mustafa released his sophomore album entitled, Chameleon. It was with this album that he attracted praise from Rolling Stone Magazine and XXL.  Whether it is by mixtape or solo albums, M*E keeps his talent fresh by touring with the LA-based daKAH Hip Hop Orchestra.

Love Machine brings listeners beyond the physical and into the spiritual intimacy of the planet and self.  It creates a sound which easily and talently evokes a vision to what Candice and M*E have worked so hard to master.  For The Love Machine Project, Candice and Mustafa teamed up with producer-engineer, Joel Hamilton, who has worked with such artists as Matisayhu and Dub Trio, bassist Brady Watt who has worked with Talib Kweli, guitarist Wes Mingus who has collabed with Wu-Tang Clan, and drummer Jason Mills who has worked with Beetroot.

New track
