Simone Battle dead at 25
TMZ reports that Battle’s father was the one to discover her Friday morning, and that she was found hanging in a closet in her bedroom in her Los Angeles home.
Law enforcement sources tell the site that Battle’s death appears to be a suicide.
Battle gained notoriety through performances on the television show “X Factor.”
After her stint on the show, Battle join the group G.R.L., a five-member band originally the new line-up of the Pussycat Dolls, but the group established its own identity after signing with Grammy-nominated producer Dr. Luke.
In a written statement, G.R.L.’s record companies RCA and Kemosabe called Simone Battle “an exceptional young talent and human being.”
