During this session of Ghana, Mr. Wronko showed a book dedicated to the history of Marvel Comics.
Marvel Comics
This book had characters that the Ghana and Mr. Wronko’s students did not know.
One character was the Red Raven. A discussion took place that if after Avengers End Game happens, would we see this character come into play some way some how.
Maker Space center
From there, Mr. Wronko’s students wanted to share their project from the Maker Space center.
They did a presentation for the students in Ghana on how they would survive in the Neolithic times.
They spoke about weapons for hunting, creating fires to keep warm, the animals such as the Saber Tooth Tiger and Woolly Mammoth they had to fight, and surviving different kinds of temperatures such as the extreme hot and cold.
History notes
From there Mr. Wronko’s students wanted to share the notes they were taking in class with the Ghana Students.
The notes dealt with a statue from ancient history, the Boxer.
The Boxer was sitting down not knowing what the world was about because when he would fight people cheered for him. However, people cheered as he was losing. Besides the Boxer, students presented the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World such as the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, Lighthouse at Alexandria, and the Temple of Zeus at Olympia.
Furthermore, they showed the students in Ghana the statue of the Nike of Samothrace which meant Naval Victory or Victory at sea.
From there they told the students about Alexander the Great and how he wanted an empire. This was the reason why he went on his conquest of defeating Darius III and Porus and his massive army of war elephants.
The students in Ghana found this session very informative and exciting.
Thank you Mr. Stan Lee for the Marvel Universe!
