OWN will debut MAXXED OUT, an eight‑episode financial intervention series, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 9:00 PM ET/PT. The program examines how financial mismanagement strains relationships and explores strategies for recovery.

About MAXXED OUT

Each episode highlights families and friends confronting debt and difficult financial choices. The series documents the emotional impact of money problems and the efforts to rebuild trust.

Financial expert Leah Collins leads the interventions. She provides direct advice, outlines strategies, and reviews financial records. Collins guides participants through confronting debt and repairing relationships affected by financial stress.

Case Studies

Episodes feature:

  • A married couple with two children facing debt and conflicting financial views.
  • Daughters challenging their mother about $35,000 to $45,000 in debt, compounded by inconsistent income and limited housing.
  • Two sisters managing a family business, one burdened with $90,000 in debt and medical costs after surviving breast cancer without insurance.

Network Statement

“MAXXED OUT reflects the financial pressures many households face and the effect on personal relationships,” said Drew Tappon, Head of OWN Unscripted Programming and Development. “We aim to provide viewers with practical tools while showing the human side of financial challenges.”

Produced by Lionsgate Alternative Television for OWN, MAXXED OUT premieres January 10, 2026.
