Three indicted in killing of TikTok creator on Long Branch, NJ beach

Long Branch, N.J. — Three men have been indicted in the fatal shooting of TikTok creator Chrystofer A. Whyte on a Long Branch beach, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Dwayne Exilus and Isaiah Z. Walker, both 19, and Jahbron J. Goff, 18, face charges that include:

  • second‑degree unlawful possession of a weapon
  • conspiracy
  • third‑degree hindering
  • fourth‑degree possession of a prohibited weapon

Goff is also charged with first‑degree murder and second‑degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Whyte, 18, of North Brunswick, sustained gunshot wounds on the Chelsea Avenue Beach at 8:58 p.m. on June 12, 2025, and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Whyte had posted an 11‑second TikTok video from the beach about an hour before the shooting. He had about 100,000 followers at the time.

Investigation and Arrests

Exilus and Goff were charged shortly after Whyte’s death, though Goff’s name was initially withheld because he was charged as a juvenile. Prosecutors did not specify the date the grand jury returned the indictment.

Multiple agencies assisted in identifying and apprehending the suspects, including the U.S. Marshals Service and the Woodbridge, Linden and Metuchen police departments.

Additional Case Context

Court documents obtained by NJ.com indicate there had been tension between Whyte and the group before the shooting. Witnesses reported a confrontation that escalated into violence.

Whyte was shot once and died on the beach near Pier Village.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
