Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. MS had a science fair which allowed students to proudly display their projects to peers, parents, teachers, and administrors.

On May 12, 2016, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School had a science fair which allowed students to proudly display and explain their projects to fellow peers, parents, teachers, and administrators.

Science fair

Every student was allowed to develop their own project. They did this by following the steps of the scientific method of observations, creating a hypothesis, testing the hypothesis, collecting data from the experiment, and forming conclusions that may or may not be challenged.

The following list were some of the projects presented at the science fair:

Does the atmosphere affect the solar system?: Amira Gates and Nadia Ruiz

Which Candy Can?: Taya Mobley and Nature Blueford

Grow Your Own Crystals: Oswaldo Pelaez, Yael Garcia Jose, Perfecto Kendle, and Ali Salahedin

Sugar Secret Code: Tatiana Laurore, Taniyah Grasty, Nai’Heem Crooms, and Oscar Limon Vasquez

How Can We Make a Bottle Fountain?: Samantha Villavicencio, Maria Lopez, Steffie Osias, and Ty’Azia Nealy

Gum Drop Fun: MaiJoi Young, Crystal Gaud, and Viridiana Jacobo

That was just a few of the projects that were on display. Those that helped organize this event were Dr. Minuskin, Ms. DelOrbe, Ms. McNamee, Mr. Farber, Mr. Salerno, Ms. Reeves, Mr. Mason, Ms. Miles, Ms. Hassan, Mr. Vetrano, Ms. Marquardt, Ms. Furges, Ms. Elmo, and Mr. Quick.
