On September 16, 2016, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School students of Asbury Park gave multiple presentations to the students in Ghana on Red Baron, Alexander the Great and more.
To begin with sixth grade students of Ms. Major Phillips’ Geography class presented reports about land. It focused on how land was used, animals, and the overall change of the environment.
From there Mr. Wronko’s students, Amira Gates, Diego Perez, Kay’sionna Clarke, Dakim Randolph, and JaNiya Brazile presented a project that compared Alexander the Great. The MLK students told the students in Ghana that both Alexander the Great and the Red Baron were undefeated in the battles they fought. They acknowledged that the Red Baron was killed by a shot from the ground, but noted that in the air, he had eighty wins and no losses. Therefore, he was undefeated in the air. Organizers showed videos of Alexander the Great and the Red Baron, in addition to the students’ presentations.
