JUST WATER by Jaden Smith
The entertainer’s organization and First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church on Friday announced they’ll set out a mobile water filtration system that reduces lead and other potential harmful contaminants.
JUST WATER collaborated with the church to design and engineer the watering system.
First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church has distributed over 5 million bottles to residents but bottle donations are starting to decline.
Contaminated in Flint
The city of Flint began replacing the lines after lead-contamination was discovered in 2014. Lead began percolating from pipes after the city tapped the Flint River for drinking without properly treating it to reduce corrosion.
