Asbury Park High School Presents: Use of Artificial Intelligence
They say artificial intelligence is the way of the future.
They say artificial intelligence is the way of the future. In my opinion it depends how it is used and if people can benefit from its use.
Using AI in Education
Just recently I have been using artificial intelligence to generate stories of historical fiction. The way I was able to generate these stories was by inputting data into an AI tool. When using an AI tool, you must be very specific, so it produces quality work. After several attempts, I was able to generate fictional stories that involved prehistoric creatures in the time of the Roman Empire and the American Revolution.
To my amazement, AI added high level vocabulary words and a narrator to the story. Recently I have used these generated stories to help students improve their reading comprehension. Students were able to read along with the narrator and incorporate new vocabulary words to their everyday use of conversation. Now when AI is used in this way, its use is very beneficial.
Students inspired by artificial intelligence
My students now are very inspired to not only read more of these stories but also create their own stories using an AI tool. The interesting part of using an AI tool to create a story is that it generates images to go along with your story. Below are two examples how I used AI to create my stories of fiction. When you view both videos you will see a high-quality story with the use of images and strong vocabulary that will immerse anyone into an exciting world of what if.

Currently, many staff members are trying to make use of AI in their classrooms. All teachers are making sure that it is used correctly so that student results match the promising use of it.
