Sherri Shepherd’s talk show canceled after four seasons
Sherri Shepherd’s nationally syndicated daytime talk show has been canceled after four seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Daytime Sherri Show Canceled
Debmar‑Mercury, the Lionsgate-owned syndicated TV production behind the show said in a statement the decision reflects the changing dynamics in the daytime TV market. They stressed that the decision does not diminish the show’s creative progress or reflective of Shepherd’s performance.
Sherri Show Continues Through Fall
Fans will get to enjoy the show for some time as Season 4 will continue airing throughout the fall. Executives confirmed production remains underway at Chelsea Studios in New York City.
Although major station groups cleared the show for the 2025–2026 season, the cancellation will halt those plans, according to US Magazine.
Executives said they intend to explore alternative platforms for the series. They praised Shepherd’s work and highlighted the show’s strong creative momentum this season.
Shepherd’s Response and Show Legacy
Shepherd thanked viewers last May when the show’s Season 4 renewal was announced. She said she aimed to bring joy, laughter and inspiration to audiences.
“Sherri” premiered in September 2022 as the successor to “The Wendy Williams Show,” which ended after 13 seasons due to Williams’ health issues.
The series earned six Daytime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show in 2023.
Shepherd has long described hosting a talk show as a dream. She said in 2022 that her goal was to make people laugh and help them feel good.
