The Matrix Synopsis
Released in 1999, The Matrix follows Thomas Anderson, a computer programmer who leads a double life as the hacker Neo.
Neo questions his reality and soon learns the truth from Morpheus, a legendary hacker labeled a terrorist by the government.
As Neo joins the human resistance, he must confront powerful agents computer programs designed to stop the rebellion.
Live Score Performed by DJ 2‑Tone Jones
During the screening, DJ 2‑Tone Jones will score the film in real time. He will mix elements of funk, soul, hip‑hop, rock, and other genres to match the tone of each scene.
He said the performance goes far beyond playing music during a movie.
“We incorporate the music with the movie so you can still follow the plot and hear the dialogue,” Jones said. “It’s weaving music over and under the film audio, just scoring the film, scene by scene.”
