Kenneth Robinson took advantage of a little known provision in Texas law that allows him to claim a home after three years of abandonment. The house was in foreclosure for a year after the owner walked away then the mortgage company went out of business.
Robinson moved into the home after months of research on a law called “adverse possession”. He recently landed the $300,000 abandoned home for only $16.
Many are looking at Kenneth Robinson as a smart, clever man and while others believe he obtained a home by squatting. The neighbors aren’t too happy as well.
