Arthur Morgan Trial : NJ Man Who Killed Daughter Stated He Rather Have Daughter Dead Than Be With Her Mother
On Thursday, jurors heard Arthur Morgan’s former girlfriend testify that Morgan stated the unbelievable.
As the Arthur Morgan trial continues in the murder of his 2-year-old daughter Tierra Morgan, jury begins to hear from witnesses and startling testimony.
On Thursday, jurors heard Arthur Morgan’s former girlfriend testify that Morgan stated the unbelievable. Four months before 2 1/2 year-old Tierra Morgan was killed, Arthur Morgan told Catherine Taylor of Lakewood that he rather have his daughter dead instead of with her mother.
Taylor told the jury Thursday that Morgan was calm when he made the statement to her shortly after he moved in with her in July 2011.
Tierra was found submerged in a stream in Shark River Park in Wall Township on Nov. 22, 2011. She was strapped into her car seat that was weighed down with a metal car jack tethered to it.

Taylor stated that sent lent Morgan the car jack that belonged to a tire-changing kit, but he never returned it.
She told the jury that she met Morgan that July. Shortly thereafter Morgan moved in after being homeless living in his car.
Taylor described the relationship between her and Morgan as friends who sometimes had sex. She said he told her he had recently broken up with Tierra’s mother.
Morgan also told Taylor he hadn’t seen his daughter since the breakup with the baby’s mother, Taylor testified.
“He stated to me that he would rather see his daughter dead than to be with her mother,” Taylor testified.
