He sang multiple songs using his guitar and harmonica. Some of the songs he sang was This Land is Your Land by Woody Guthrie, Good Mornin’ Blues by Lead Belly, Wabash Cannonball by Roy Acuff – Carter Family, and Blowin’ In The Wind by Bob Dylan. While singing and performing each song, he had all students participate by singing and clapping with him.
Student participation
During a break from his performance, he asked the students in Ghana if they also would like to perform a song. The students agreed and performed together Sunshine In My Soul by Timothy Wright and the Celestial Choir. Singing this song from Ghana were Nini, Noni, Jaja, Jahi, Niani, Jaanai, Sagirah, Hadassah, Esian, and Yesha.
After Mr. Brandt’s performance, all the students gave him a very nice ovation and thanked him for attending this session. Ronnie Brandt looks forward to returning.
