SHANE RIMMER/PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT/JAMES BOND MOVIES/BATMAN BEGINS
Shane Rimmer was an actor that always would just show up. No matter what I was watching he would appear in that movie (I know I am exaggerating a bit).
Shane Rimmer was an actor that always would just show up. No matter what I was watching he would appear in that movie (I know I am exaggerating a bit).
This all began when I was kid and saw the “People That Time Forgot”. This was a sequel to “The Land That Time Forgot”.
In the “People That Time Forgot”, Shane Rimmer was a part of a group that went to this lost island of cavemen and dinosaurs to find Bowen Tyler, who was trapped on this island from the previous movie. During the movie, Shane’s character was in charge of fixing an airplane which was damaged by a huge Pterodactyl while the rest of the group went to look for Tyler on foot. At the climax of the film, a volcano was chasing the group that went looking for Tyler and Shane had to get the plane working. He did and the group escaped even though they failed to bring Tyler back alive. That part stuck with me because I saw Shane Rimmer as a hero.
A couple of days later, I watched a James Bond movie with my brother and Shane Rimmer appeared in that movie. I was like ‘oh wow, that was the guy from that dinosaur movie’.
A few nights from there, we watched another James Bond movie and once again, Shane Rimmer was in that one, too. I was like, this guy is in everything.
Finally, when I saw “Batman Begins” many years later as an adult, Shane Rimmer appeared in that movie also.
For instance, when Batman fought Ra’s Al Ghul, Shane Rimmer appeared, I believe, in Wayne Tower in which he was in charge of the water system in Gotham. By the time of this movie, Shane Rimmer was an older man and I could not believe that once again, he just showed up in a movie I was watching. The only thing I have to say is, thank you Mr. Rimmer for fun memories.
