Endangered Silver alert issued for 61-year-old St. Louis man missing weeks after nursing home shut down
Authorities are concerned as the 61-year-old Caruthers has schizophrenia and hasn’t had any medication.
Missouri authorities have issued an endangered silver alert for 61-year-old Frederick Caruthers.
Caruthers went missing three weeks after the St. Louis nursing home where he lived abruptly closed.
Endangered silver alert issued for Frederick Caruthers
The Missouri State Highway Patrol on Wednesday issued the advisory for Caruthers, who was a resident of Northview Village Nursing Home before it closed on Dec. 15.
Authorities are concerned as the 61-year-old Caruthers has schizophrenia and hasn’t had any medication.
“Mr. Caruthers walked away from the Northview Nursing Home and has not been heard from since,” the advisory stated. “He is without needed medication.”
Description
Caruthers is 5’9″, weighs 225 lbs, and has gray hair, brown eyes, dark complexion.
He was last seen wearing brown hooded jacket, khaki pants, dark tennis shoes with white shoelaces.

Anyone seeing Caruthers, associate, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the St. Louis Metropolitan Department at 314-444-5504.
