The family of Delois Holmes, a beloved mother and community pillar, is demanding accountability after her tragic death during the recent St. Louis tornado.

Delois Holmes’ seeks accountability

Holmes was at home when the storm struck, but according to public reports and city officials, the City of St. Louis’s emergency warning system failed, leaving many residents without timely alerts or siren warnings. As a result, Holmes was unable to reach safety in time.

Her children have retained nationally recognized civil rights and personal injury attorney Reginald Greene, known as “The Super Lawyer™,” to investigate whether negligence played a role in the system failure.

“This was not just an act of nature—it was a preventable tragedy,” Greene said. “When public safety systems fail because of negligence or ignored protocols, people die. We believe Delois Holmes was one of those people, and her death should never have happened.”

Seeking Justice and System Reform for Delois Holmes

The Holmes family is demanding justice and systemic reform following Delois Holmes’ death. They want transparency about the city’s emergency system failure, accountability from officials, and lasting policy changes to prevent future tragedies. Their goal is to ensure no other family suffers due to ignored safety responsibilities.

Legal Action Moving Forward

Greene has filed a claim against the City of St. Louis and plans to hold a press conference in the coming weeks to provide updates and answer questions.
