15-year-old Mikah King of Georgia suddenly died after football practice.

A Georgia community is grieving the loss of 15-year-old Mikah King, a rising athlete whose sudden death following football practice has left a deep emotional void.
What happened to Mikah King?
The teen reportedly fell ill during practice last week and passed away later the same day.
According to a statement shared on a GoFundMe page, the incident occurred during what was described as a “normal day at football practice.” The heartfelt tribute reads, “Our beloved Mikah — a vibrant 15-year-old son, brother, athlete, and friend — fell ill during practice and tragically passed away later that same day. His sudden loss has left an immeasurable void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.”
Spark with full of energy, compassion, and joy
King was celebrated not only for his talent on the field but also for his character off it. Described as a “spark — full of energy, compassion, and joy,” Mikah was known to uplift teammates, rally peers, and lead with quiet confidence. Coaches called him a natural leader; his friends considered him family.
Challenging times
As loved ones mourn the sudden death of Mikah, the Georgia teen’s family is also navigating another crisis: Mikah’s twin brother is currently hospitalized with complications related to sickle cell anemia.
According to a GoFundMe post, Mikah’s twin, whose name has not been publicly released, remains under medical care. The family described the situation as an “unimaginable tragedy” impacting both sons.
