SOUTH AMBOY, N.J. — Middlesex County’s REPLENISH will host its third annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot and 5K at Raritan Bay Waterfront Park.

The family-friendly event runs from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and invites participants to walk, jog, or run along the scenic waterfront.

About Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

Organizers emphasize that the Turkey Trot supports the fight against food insecurity. All proceeds and food donations benefit REPLENISH and Feeding Middlesex County, which provide essential food assistance programs across the county.

The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. It is stroller- and pet-friendly, ensuring accessibility for families. Each registered runner receives a race T-shirt and bib. Coffee and refreshments will be available on-site, and the event will take place rain or shine.

Registration is required. Participants can register online for $30 per person by Tuesday, November 25. Early registration ensures a spot and supports local families in need.

In addition, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. Every donation helps Middlesex County residents gain access to nutritious meals. Organizers stress that community contributions remain vital during the holiday season.

The Turkey Trot highlights community spirit while addressing food insecurity. Middlesex County officials urge residents to participate, donate, and celebrate Thanksgiving with purpose.
