Missing Plainfield Teen Connor Oldfield Vanished After Leaving Home in Pajamas
Nineteen-year-old Connor Oldfield, who is autistic, walked out of his Watson Avenue home around 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 24 wearing pajama bottoms and vanished.
His mother, Stephanie Senior, said she fears Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents may have mistakenly detained him. She told NJ.com that ICE officers were in the city that afternoon, raising concerns about a possible encounter.
“He’s got to be somewhere,” Senior said. “He’s either with ICE or with someone.” She added that Oldfield was not carrying identification.
Mother Raises Concerns About Possible ICE Detention
Senior said she worries ICE may not have processed her son’s information if he was taken into custody. Because of that, she fears he could be held without appearing in official records.
According to local reports, the agency has conducted operations in several New Jersey cities in recent weeks, including Jersey City, Hoboken and New Brunswick.
Multiple news outlets have requested a comment from ICE but have not received a response as of yet.

Plainfield Police
Police said Oldfield can communicate verbally but may become anxious if approached. Officers urged residents to check doorbell and security camera footage for any sign of the missing Plainfield teen.
“He’s a homebody… He’s been home alone many times,” she said, noting that he had never wandered off before.
Upon returning home, she contacted Plainfield police around 3:30 p.m. to report her son missing. Shortly after, she began searching for him, enlisting the help of family and police.
