Black Americans are moving down south

The article reports that the economic downturn has turned black New Yorkers, including many who are young and college educated, to move down south.

About 17 percent of the Black Americans who moved south came from New York, far more than any other state, according to census data.

The movement is not limited imto New York. Data shows African Americans from the East and the Mideast are moving more down south than in decades.
