Father of Tierra Morgan captured in California
Authorities captured, Arthur Morgan II, the man accused of killing his 2-year-old daughter by dumping her still strapped in her car seat, into the Shark River in Wall Township, NJ.
Arthur Morgan III, the father of Tierra Morgan has been captured.
Authorities captured Morgan in a home in San Diego where he was staying with friends.
There was a nationwide search for Morgan who allegedly killed his daughter Tierra Morgan after a court-appointed visit on Nov. 21.
Imani Benton, the toddler’s mother, called police when Morgan failed to return the child back home. Tierra’s body was later found in the Shark River by a group of teenagers still strapped in her car seat.
Initially charged with endangering the welfare of a child and interfering with court order, Morgan’s charge was moved to murder once autopsy showed the child died from ‘homicidal act’. The FBI also charged Morgan with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
According to the Star Ledger, FBI spokesman Bryan Travers said earlier today Morgan boarded a bus to Richmond, Va., at Newark Penn Station on Nov. 21.
