There are 106 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the United States today, including public and private, two-year and four-year institutions, medical schools and community colleges.
U.S. News & World Report released its 2014 edition of the Best Colleges Report. The list included several rankings among them is the HBCU rankings.
The ranking data includes tuition, enrollment, retention, graduation rates, and college admission test scores.
