NASA scientists and engineers served as technical consultants on the film. The movie portrays a realistic view of the climate and topography of Mars, based on NASA data, and some of the challenges NASA faces as we prepare for human exploration of the Red Planet in the 2030s. The main role of Han will be played by Alden Ehrenreich. He won the role over larger name actors such as Miles Teller, Logan Lerman, Dave Franco and Ansel Elgort.

“We’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us,” said directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.

“These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations. Also, we’d like to publicly apologize to Donald for ruining Comic-Con for him forever.”

Congratulations Donald Glover. I think we’re going to have to check it out when it gets released!
