Donald Glover to star in ‘StarWars’ spinoff
Star Wars has released a statement saying that Donald Glover will be playing the role of smuggler Lando Calrissian in the new Star Wars spinoff.

On Friday, October 21st, the Star Wars site released a statement saying that Donald Glover will be playing the role of smuggler Lando Calrissian in the new Star Wars spinoff that will follow Han Solo.

The main role of Han will be played by Alden Ehrenreich. He won the role over larger name actors such as Miles Teller, Logan Lerman, Dave Franco and Ansel Elgort.
“We’re so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us,” said directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
“These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations. Also, we’d like to publicly apologize to Donald for ruining Comic-Con for him forever.”
