OJ Simpson Released From Prison
After spending nearly 9 years in jail for a botched hotel robbery in Las Vegas, OJ Simpson is finally a free man.
After spending nearly 9 years in jail for a botched hotel robbery in Las Vegas, OJ Simpson has been released.
OJ Simpson Released
Simpson was released at 12:08 a.m. PT from Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada, state prisons spokeswoman Brooke Keast told The Associated Press.
Simpson had a parole hearing in July, where he was granted the release.
Upon his release, Simpson will be under a five year supervision. During the hearing, Simpson said he wanted to move to Florida where he lived before his robbery conviction. But the Florida Department of Corrections, however, said officials had not received a transfer request or required documents, and the attorney general said the state didn’t want him.
His five years of parole supervision could be reduced with credits for good behavior.
