Rapper China Walker passing details

The Inglewood, CA native died on July 1, 2025, after a private two-year battle with ovarian carcinosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Her twin sister and musical partner, Camara “Cam” Walker, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, posting a photo of the two holding hands in what appeared to be China’s final moments. “Tonight, she transitioned and is now resting peacefully,” Cam wrote. “Give me time to grieve in peace, but know she loved all our supporters”.

GoFundMe launched for support

In the wake of her passing, Camara has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support the family with funeral and memorial expenses. The fundraiser has already raised over $13,000, with supporters pouring in messages of love and remembrance. “Her light and love remain with us always,” the campaign reads.

China Walker’s music career

Cam & China rose to prominence in 2016 with their self-titled EP and viral freestyles that showcased their lyrical prowess and sisterly chemistry. Their music was featured on HBO’s Rap Sh!t and Insecure, and they were widely regarded as one of the most promising acts in West Coast hip-hop.

As tributes continue to flood in, fans and fellow artists are remembering rapper China not only for her talent, but for her authenticity, resilience, and the bond she shared with her sister. Her legacy lives on through the music, the movement, and the love she inspired.
