Comedic YouTube personality Keith Leak Jr. has confirmed that his cancer has returned, just two years after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on August 19, Leak shared that doctors discovered four new tumors, two near his diaphragm and two on his liver. The news has prompted an outpouring of support from fans, fellow creators, and the broader online community.
“As many of you know, my cancer has returned,” Leak wrote. “If you feel led, please DONATE and SHARE to help me beat cancer’s a again. Love y’all.” His message accompanied a photo of him in a hospital bed, visibly determined to fight once more.
A Painful Journey, Publicly Shared
Over the past few months, Leak had been candid about his declining health. On his podcast Double Take, co-hosted with fellow comedian Noah Grossman, he described persistent pain, difficulty walking, and other troubling symptoms. He even nicknamed his tumor “Amelie,” using humor to cope with the physical and emotional toll.
Although Leak celebrated being cancer-free in 2023 after a two-year battle with a Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST), he recently told listeners, “I’m pretty sure my tumor has come back… Cancer’s back, people”.
Community Rallies with Donations and Encouragement for Keith Leak Jr.
In response to his diagnosis, Grossman launched a GoFundMe campaign titled Keith’s Fight Against Cancer. The fundraiser has already surpassed $330,000. It will help cover medical expenses, including daily medication, weekly labs, monthly scans, and potential surgeries.
The campaign’s description reads: “Keith has received the results of his scans and can now confirm the return of four cancerous tumors… All of the donations are going directly to Keith for him to use as he needs while he battles cancer”.
