GoFundMe raises 400k for homeless pastor and family
Pastor Will, who was living in a car with his wife, toddler, and dog, had been watching the creator’s videos during moments of deep struggle. The creator, stunned by the encounter and moved by Will’s unwavering faith, launched a GoFundMe campaign that same day.
Since then, the fundraiser has gained remarkable traction. More than $400,000 has been raised to support the pastor’s family. Donations poured in from across the country, many from viewers who had also found comfort in the creator’s content.
Because of the overwhelming response, the family now has access to temporary housing, food, and medical care. Additionally, supporters have offered job leads, childcare assistance, and spiritual encouragement.
The creator shared updates regularly, thanking donors and highlighting the family’s progress. As a result, the campaign continued to trend on social media platforms.
Although the family’s journey is far from over, the outpouring of support has provided a critical lifeline. Pastor Will expressed gratitude in a recent video, saying, “God showed up through strangers.”
Ultimately, one chance meeting in a parking lot turned into a movement of compassion. And for Pastor Will’s family, hope arrived when they least expected it.
