Parole board delays decision on Troy Davis fate
Troy Anthony Davis was convicted for the August 19, 1989 murder of police officer Mark MacPhail in Savannah, Georgia.

The state Board of Pardons and Paroles, after hearing a full day of testimony over the fate of Troy Davis, will not be issuing a decision today on whether to grant or deny him clemency, the board said late Monday.
The board delayed its decision after hearing impassioned pleas from members of Davis’ family and his lawyers and from the surviving relatives of slain Savannah Police Officer Mark Allen MacPhail.
Update: Troy Davis execution goes ahead after US supreme court refuses stay, reports The Guardian.
