Florida: The Sunshine State
Wow! There have really been a turn of events. The GOP race is really starting to heat up. However, is this race over. Lets look at some interesting events that have taken place in Florida.
Polling
The polling seemed to stay consistent in the Sunshine State. Although, after the South Carolina Primary, we did see Newt sort-of rise in the polls.. Nothing ever seemed to come out for Newt, but the consistence of sinking in the polls. To no fault of his own. When, the polls number started to arrive at the end of the South Carolina Primary I started to wonder, can Newt really turn this thing around and find some consistency in the polls and in his following. For some odd reason it never seemed to amount to anything. One thing that I thought would help push Newt over the top would be the endorsements of Sahara Palin and Herman Cain. These both seemed to play no ploy in what is starting to looking like a one man band show starring “Willard”(as Al Sharpton says) Mitt Romney. The biggest number that has me at awe, would have to be a number that I just noticed on Morning Joe(my fav). 95% of voters that will be voting in the tonight’s Floridahate seeing negative ads. Seemingly, this seems to be more and more evident, this is the real winner in this Republican Primary thus far. This seems to topic on every morning show, op-ed and editorial every morning. Back to the topic.
If tonight’s results reflect the polling, we shall see Mitt win in flying colors. The real question will be what will really come of tonight’s results? What will they mean? How will they affect Nevada Primary? If there is any indication, any at all, the POLLS will show us tomorrow morning. When the buses leave theSunshineState and head toNevada to see who gets lucky.
What tonight means
I seem to agree with almost every Political Pundit( I wish to become one day) in the country. Tonight’s, win will not seal the deal with the Republican Party. However, what it will do is start to lean the party towards one way. This is a momentum builder! I feel as if we will later look back at Florida and see what campaign was more skilled to take this campaign and run to victory or who will let their campaign sink. You have to think tonight can be a win-win for Mitt and Newt. It can only paint that picture only if Newt can stay within ten percent. If Newt can keep it close it will say one thing to the Republican Party, Mitt can not seal the deal.
“the SON of the SOUTH
If a I am Newt, the Republican Party, and major donor to Newt I have one thing in the back of my mind. “What was it that made me less effective in the South, the place in which I represented for may years”. Pretty good question huh? I thought of that by myself. ……….. OK, you had to be there.
Newt is from the South and you would have to think if I am a big wig in the Republican Party do I was a candidate that can not win his region. Could this play a role in the end? One must have to think it would. President Obama is a machine and he seems to be likable everywhere. Even, by my kids in class(6th grade). He has an appeal of the late JFK and the sternness of the LBJ. (And) the one thing you can count on is he is going to win where he needs to win.
Florida is a special place. It might be the melting pot besides New York, of the United States. The biggest number of people that sticks out to me are the number of Seniors that live in the state of Florida. The brightest point that points itself out to me is when Mitt Romney made a note of the depleted funds that President Obama has removed from Medicare to pay for “Obama Care”. Now, that is something appealing and that Newt has not made mention of. Newt, has not taken this moment in the South to appeal to his people, “southern folk”. Rather yet, he has let a northern take his time in the great “Florida Sun”. This shows a failure of poor political consulting in his campaigns part. HOWEVER, I only think that Mitt said that to do exactly what Mitt does, appeal to his crowd. Let us look at what happens tonight and I will draw more conclusions to as, who will really get burned in the “Florida Sun”.
