Maxwell is BACK, in a BIG WAY!
Time isn’t a concern with this man, when it comes to releasing projects.

Time isn’t a concern with Maxwell, when it comes to releasing projects. He takes his time and lives life, which translates into his music. He’s like Sade in that way, and she needs to also drop a project LIKE NOW!
This man’s music just touches you in ways you can’t explain and I love that! His continued collaboration with Stuart Matthewman, Sade’s band member, as well as songwriter/producer, makes you think of this phrase, “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. This has continued to work and I”m praying that Mr. Matthewman and the rest of the fellows of Sade’s band continue with their Sweetback project.
The beat comes in like a boulder and literally mows you down in the first track, “All The Ways Love Can Feel” and is so infectious that you find yourself moving, clapping and in another world. Has that reggae undertone, but so soulful and then the house aspect of the track kicks in.
The production is so off-the-wall genius and Maxwell takes it to a level he’s never taking your before. Strategically placing different elements in and building complex layers, that take shape into an unforgettable track. Yes, he gives you a tease of his standard sound with, “Lake By The Ocean”, but he does throw a present music curve ball at your within the track. The track “Fingers Crossed” takes you on a ride and just when you think you’re done, the instrumental section takes a hold of you and you continue the reside. He comes out of nowhere with the appeal to you in regards to the song, cause there was a moment the next rack began, and I wasn’t feeling it and then Maxwell takes you and turns you upside down then see uses clearly. An old-fashioned heartbroken soul track is featured in “Lost” yet holds to the projects layers of sound feel. We then begin the decent with “Listen Hear” after he’s jacked you so far up musically, that you can’t truly express what you’ve just witnessed. He then slaps you across the face with “Night”, that teases you with what’s to come with the next project in the trilogy.
The project evokes so many emotions and gets so deep within you, that you can actually see the story in your consciousness as you listen. This project has flown under the radar, the singles that were released where quiet..), but now with the entire project release…it’s about to soar! It is a ride like no other I’ve taken in music at the present, and yes Beyonce’s “Lemonade” took you on a journey, but not like Maxwell’s project does. They’re on different spectrums yet have transformed the standards of music. Yes, he has classics but this project hands down is his best!
