BET, MTV, and other networks to air live townhall meeting tonight on race and violence
MTV News, BET News, and others to air a live town hall style meeting to address the police brutality and violent events that have been in the news lately.
MTV News, BET News, and other Viacom Networks are cancelling their regular programs to air a live townhall style meeting Friday night at MTV’s Times Square studios to address the police brutality and violent events that have been recently been in the news.
The conversation will be moderated by Jamil Smith and Marc Lamont Hill as well as Charlamagne Tha God and Franchesca Ramsey.
The townhall meeting will air at 10:00 pm (EST).
MTV says the program will be an open forum of artists, activists and audience members discussing the issues underlying this latest round in a cycle of violence and tragedy in America.
It can also be viewed Facebook live and Youtube allowing viewers to contribute by calling in or using the social media hashtag #WhatNow.
