BET, MTV, And Other Networks To Air Live Townhall Meeting Tonight on Race and Violence

MTV News, BET News, and other Viacom Networks are cancelling their regular programs to air a live townhall style meeting Friday night at MTV’s Times Square studios to address the police brutality and violent events that have been recently been in the news.

The conversation will be moderated by:

  • Jamil Smith
  • Marc Lamont Hill
  • Charlamagne Tha God
  • Franchesca Ramsey

The townhall meeting will air at 10:00 pm (EST).

MTV says the program will be an open forum of artists, activists and audience members discussing the issues underlying this latest round in a cycle of violence and tragedy in America.

The show can also be viewed Facebook live and Youtube. Viewers can contribute by calling in or using the social media hashtag #WhatNow.
