Anthony “AJ” Johnson, a comedian known for his roles in films such as Friday, The Players Club, House Party 3 and more, has reportedly passed away.

Anthony “AJ” Johnson, a comedian known for his roles in films such as Friday, The Players Club, House Party 3 and more, has reportedly passed away.
He was 55.
Cause of Death
According to his nephew, Johnson was found unresponsive in a store in Los Angeles earlier this month and later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The cause of death has not been released.
About Anthony “AJ” Johnson
Born in Compton, California, Johnson was born into show business as his father was a Hollywood stuntman.
Johnson had numerous roles in the ’90s and early 2000s on the big screen, famously playing neighborhood thief Ezal in the first Friday film as well as Blue in Master P’s big-budget comedy I Got The Hook Up.
He also had roles in films such as Panther, B.A.P.S., The Player’s Club, How To Be A Player, and more.
On TV, Johnson appeared in episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, Martin, Def Comedy Jam, South Central, The Parent ‘Hood, Moesha, Malcom & Eddie and The Jamie Foxx Show throughout his career.
It’s also rumored Johnson was cast to reprise his role in the upcoming Last Friday.
Johnson was known for doing standup comedy routines in bars and clubs around Los Angeles after rising to fame in the ’90s.
Funeral
Anthony “AJ” Johnson’s wife says her husband didn’t have life insurance and is asking for fans help.
She has created a GoFundMe to assist with the cost.
