Police seeks public’s help after hit-and-run in Northeast D.C. kills woman
Angela Boston, 40, died after being struck on Eastern Avenue; police urge witnesses to come forward.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The family of Angela Boston is pleading for answers after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Northeast D.C. killed the 40-year-old woman.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is actively investigating the incident and asking the public for help identifying the driver who fled the scene.

The crash occurred on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at approximately 9:58 p.m. Officers responded to the 1100 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast, following reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police found Boston conscious and breathing in the southeast-bound lane of traffic. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
According to MPD’s preliminary findings, Boston was standing in the roadway when a black SUV with tinted windows hit her. The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene immediately.
Ongoing Investigation
Detectives from MPD’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are leading the case. So far, no arrests have been made, and the driver remains unidentified.
Angela Boston’s family is urging anyone with information to come forward. “We just want justice,” a relative said to Fox DC. “Someone out there knows something.”
