She was 74.

The couple’s Instagram account announced the news Dec. 8, noting Jeri spent her final day surrounded by family and friends. Loved ones decorated the Christmas tree while her favorite music played.

Jeri and her husband Mike built a following of nearly a million across TikTok and Instagram. Their nearly 50-year interracial love story resonated deeply with audiences worldwide.

Additionally, Jeri openly documented her nine-year battle with stage 4 breast cancer, inspiring viewers with honesty and resilience.

From Poolside Meeting to Lifelong Partnership

The couple first met in 1976 at their apartment pool. After exchanging numbers, they quickly fell in love.

They married the following year in a small garden ceremony, just a decade after Loving v. Virginia struck down laws banning interracial marriage. Despite public scrutiny, they remained steadfast.
