Former Giants Sam Beal missing seven months after last seen in Kentwood, Michigan
The former New York Giants cornerback went missing from Virginia Beach, Va., on July 13, 2025, his sister said via Facebook

Former New York Giants cornerback Sam Beal has been missing for nearly seven months, and his family is urging the public to help locate him.
On Monday, Jan. 12, Beal’s sister posted to Facebook, sharing his driver’s license photo, a missing person poster, and receipts.
Here are seven facts to know about Sam Beal’s missing case.
1. Sam Beal Missing Case: Was Last Seen on July 12, 2025, in Kentwood, Michigan.
According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) profile, Beal was last seen after dropping his girlfriend off at a family member’s home in Kentwood, Michigan.
2. He Borrowed His Girlfriend’s Vehicle Before Disappearing
Investigators say Beal borrowed her vehicle that day. He planned to drive to work but headed toward Virginia Beach instead, based on a phone call with his girlfriend.
3. Sam Beal Missing Case: His Vehicle Was Found in Virginia Beach
Authorities later located the car in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The vehicle contained his shoes, socks and sand on the front passenger seat. He left behind all belongings except the clothes he wore, a pair of slides and his wallet.
4. His Family Has Not Heard from Him in Seven Months
“Tomorrow makes it 7 months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother,” his sister, Essence Zhane, wrote on Facebook. She described the emotional weight and asked the public to help.
5. His Sister Issued a Public Plea for Answers
“I’m not here to answer a bunch of why’s and how’s,” she continued. “I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure. I’m a Big sister and I need my brother to know that We Love You and miss you and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around.”
6. Sam Beal Played Three Seasons with the New York Giants
Beal, 29, entered the NFL as a third‑round pick in the 2018 supplemental draft. He played three seasons, recorded 27 tackles and one pass defense, and opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID‑19.
7. Sam Beal Missing Case: Police Are Asking for Public Assistance
Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Kenwood Police at (616) 698‑6580 or Virginia Beach Police at (757) 385‑4141. Officials say any tip may help.
