FLOW and Hasan Salaam journeyed to West Africa to advocate freedom of speech in Guinea-Bissau by being the first U.S hip hop artist to perform there, as well as teach creative writing to the youth.

The journey took the duo k through Dakar, Senegal and Bissau, where Hasan performed alongside the Baloberos (who were beaten and imprisoned for their socially conscious lyrical content) and the rest of the BigUP GB Movement.

Hasan Salaam belives music is the weapon of the future.

Hasan’s highly anticipated album “Life in Black and White” is set to be rele Iased in 2011.
