In a series of tweets, the student recounted the alleged assault. Viral social media posts ignited a conversation about rape culture and the frequent silencing of women’s voices.
The student says she is a freshman at Spelman, and that this would be her last.
Her statement to the media
Spelman made a statement to AJC saying “no student should have to suffer and endure the experience she recounted on social media”. The famed HBCU said they will be conducting a full investigation.
Its sad that I have to create a page to express myself rather than tweeting from my real account because AUC students blame & bash victims.
