Project Ghana published in three magazines and much more!
In addition to it being posted on Unheard Voices Magazine, the Project Ghana segment on Classroom Close-up gained much attention as of late.
In addition to it being posted on Unheard Voices Magazine, the Project Ghana has been published in various communication mediums. Particularly, the segment on Classroom Close-up gained much attention as of late.
Project Ghana published
For instance, the New Jersey Education Association’s Review magazine and Prehistoric Times Magazine both featured the segment.
In Review, editors highlighted Project Ghana as a segment to watch in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr. and the ongoing struggle for human rights, civil rights, and social justice..
Furthermore, Prehistoric Times Magazine featured Classroom Close‑up with an image of Mr. Wronko explaining the Cretaceous War Zone project, along with artwork by Jozabad Abi‑Jaja Caldwell, a student from Ghana whose pieces appear throughout Unheard Voices Magazine and across the internet.
Students work
Speaking of Jozabad Abi‑Jaja Caldwell, Prehistoric Times Magazine Issue 128 features his artwork. In the image above, his piece appears at the top far right—the illustration of the Pteranodon.
Also artwork from my students, Nadia Ruiz and Allison Asegurado Mejia, appear on the same page. Nadia Ruiz’s picture featured next to Jozabad’s and underneath Nadia’s was Allison’s.
Magazine features
Both magazines were presented to the students in Ghana during two separate afternoon sessions. The magazines sparked extensive conversation.
For instance, during one session, Review magazine prompted a discussion about Martin Luther King Jr., which led to a screening of King in the Wilderness. Prehistoric Times Magazine also gave Mr. Wronko an opportunity to answer
The magazine, Prehistoric Times allowed Mr. Wronko to explain how the Cretaceous War Zone was created.
