The 2025 Georgia Football Classic will spotlight HBCU excellence on Saturday, October 4, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils will face Florida A&M University Rattlers in a historic football rivalry.

Kickoff begins at 4:00 p.m., preceded by a 3:45 p.m. national anthem performance by the Georgia Football Classic Gospel Choir.

Halftime features elite HBCU marching bands: Mississippi Valley State’s Mean Green Marching Machine and Florida A&M’s Marching 100.

Band VERZUZ Band Debuts with Global Streaming and Eight Rounds of Musical Competition

Organizers introduce Band VERZUZ Band, a new entertainment property inspired by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’s viral Verzuz series.

Instead of hit songs, top HBCU bands battle in eight thrilling rounds of precision, power, and musical artistry.

“Band VERZUZ Band is the sweet musical science in the sport of marching band,” said founder Michael David.

Following the game, fans will witness the world premiere of Band VERZUZ Band, streamed globally for maximum reach.

Community Impact and Cultural Unity

The Georgia Football Classic is expected to generate over $20 million in economic impact across metro Atlanta.

Events include pep rallies, college fairs, gospel showcases, and food festivals—all anchored in DeKalb County.

“This event celebrates HBCU culture and brings our community together,” said Troy Vincent of 100 Black Men of DeKalb County.
