With the ability to come across however he likes, as well as allowing your musical ear to be blasted with emotional imagery, Bilal takes his time between projects and tests the musical boundaries, and only then brings you a collective that transcends him further within his craft. Beginning with “1st Born Second” to present project, “In Another Life”, Bilal has evolved in many directions. He transcends himself into the status quo of soul music that you are beginning to hear, but would you like him any other way? I think not!

This, “In Another Life” takes you out of your comfort zone, but delights your ear with tones of yesteryear with a twist. The project almost plays like a movie soundtrack of sorts, especially with track 7 & 8. He’s not known for guest appearances all over his project, but bringing on Big Krit and Kendrick Lamar are not only added bonuses, but fit within the realm of this musical pie.

Just sit back and although early, anticipate what Bilal will come up with next.
