Soul-jazz singer Amy Winehouse was found dead Saturday in her London home, according to reports.

The singer was 27.

Amy Winehouse Dead at 27

Though there is very little information on her death at the time, police confirmed that a 27-year-old female was pronounced dead at a home in Camden Square northern London.

The cause of death was not immediately known.

London Ambulance Services said Winehouse had died before two ambulance crews it sent arrived at the scene.

About the singer

Amy Winehouse quickly rose to fame in 2006 after releasing the album “Back to Black”.

Her blend of jazz, soul, rock, and classical rock would make the album a commercial hit. It won five Grammy’s, making Winehouse a household name. But her personal life, inflicted with drug abuse, alcohol abuse, eating disorders, and destructive relationships soon unfortunately out weighed her career.
