About Tanya Lennon on Tanya’s Tasty Treats
Why Entrepreneurship is Important and How You Got Started:
Being an entrepreneur gives me total control to do things my way. I am the boss.
How I got started: I was invited to a friend’s BBQ about 3 years ago. I was asked to bring a carrot cake. The cake was gone in less than 30 minutes. Before the night was over three people wanted a cake. I thought, “Hmm, maybe this is something I can do on the side…what else can I bake?” I lost my job over a year ago and started baking full time. Through friends and word of mouth orders started picking up. Most of my customers are in New Jersey. I get a new customer every time I’m there. I also have a page on Facebook. “Like” my page and feel free to leave a comment about the “Treat” you ordered.
