Ms. Cappie’s Cookies (More than just cookies!) is enjoying the summer in Our Community and all it has to offer.
In my last article I spoke of some great events I participated in over the past weekend.
My first stop was at the Brookdale Community College on Saturday.
My second stop was the Asbury Fresh market in Kennedy Park on Sunday.
It is open every Sunday from 12-6 P.M. It is a great place for local small businesses and entrepreneurs to share their gifts with the Asbury Park Community.
I have had the pleasure of sharing my Organic Vegan Goodies as a vendor at Asbury Fresh.
Each week there are new vendors bringing fresh items to the market and plenty of people stopping by for great, wholesome products, such as, Organic Produce, homemade jewelry, artisan breads, sauces, and more. There is even a vendor providing massage therapy.
This week I met new vendors Nowrefined and True Bey of Beygan! An African-American Family owned Vegan Catering Company.
It is very refreshing to see other small business owners like my self that are like-minded in living a healthy lifestyle.
I am inspired to continue on my journey as I can see I am not alone. It is extremely important in our communities that we continue to encourage entrepreneurship locally and show our support.
Small business are the driving force behind our economy. If we do not support them we will not bring revenue, jobs, and stability to our towns. As I spoke with Nowrefined about how they came upon the idea and began their journey, it reminded me of my previous article. We are all were born with gifts and talents that we can use to better ourselves and others.
Beygan began like most small businesses, doing something you Love to do very well. It takes Faith in believing that it is possible to build your business, but without works, it Won’t begin. Beygan is off to a wonderful start! Their Vegan Desserts are featured at Kaya’s Kitchen in Belmar, N.J.
I have tasted their Vegan cheesecake and Ms. Cappie’s Cookies loved it! It’s everything you want in a cheesecake without the animal products. Stay tuned for Beygan they will be featured this summer on the Lisa Oz show with Kaya’s Kitchen.
If we are not showing the children in our communities that you can create your on businesses, then we will not have a thriving economy to look forward to in years to come.
If we are not teaching industrial and creative arts in our schools, we will not have future small businesses that will help to employ people within our community.
If our money is kept in our communities we can build our wealth for generations to come.
How often do we buy locally before you go outside of your community?
Have you had an idea to start your own business but have not pursued it?
I truly believe we must continually be the change we want to see in the world (Quote-Mahatma Gandhi).
Ms. Cappie’s Cookies is committed to changing the world One-Cookie-At-A-Time!
